I don't know much about that beer, but I hope it's a sour unfruited lambic--nobody seems to like them, but I love them.

The first time I tasted one I was in Amsterdam, half-drunk, and had no idea what I was ordering. My first sip of Boon Geuze was shocking--a sharp blade drawn across a soft tongue. That beer got me up off my ass and out into the night for air . . . I walked for hours, completely lost. What a great night.

My wife compares drinking the sour lambics to drinking salad dressing. I guess it's an acquired taste.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05918918031304653224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259650071875106920.post-25176085234734685232008-08-27T19:16:00.000-05:002008-08-27T19:16:00.000-05:00Hi Tricia! I return all fellow feelings and have propped you up on my blogroll to keep an eye on you. I am having an Ofallon 5 Day IPA (which you and your manfriend would LOVE) at The Royale (which you and, etc.). I did Cuba Street again on the way here. It held up!Poetry Scoreshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15624640062686409332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259650071875106920.post-76118091650379952522008-08-27T19:06:00.000-05:002008-08-27T19:06:00.000-05:00(once more, but with feeling)This small world neve...(once more, but with feeling)
This small world never ceases to amaze.

I index and abstract articles for a nonprofit library, but tomato farmer suits me fine.

Isn't it funny? Steve Carosello saw that I mentioned Richard Thompson just the other day and introduced me to the English singer Norma Waterson? She works with RT and apparently is a fan of Al Bowlly, too.

Thanks for such a lovely review for Cuba Street. I've got my copy out and will have a listen with a new set of ears.

Pleased to meet you! Tonight, we will mostly be drinking Sierra Pale, as Rogue Brutal Bitter has been unavailable for eons.

TriciaTomatoheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06351872586163118813noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4259650071875106920.post-17160484287651922942008-08-27T16:58:00.000-05:002008-08-27T16:58:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Tomatoheadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06351872586163118813noreply@blogger.com
